Endeavour has successfully secured funding to deliver a mindful community arts project, opening up new opportunities for creativity, connection, and wellbeing within our community. This funding effects the growing recognition of the positive impact that creative, mindful activities can have on people’s mental health and overall wellbeing. Thanks to this support, we’ll be able to create a welcoming space where participants can slow down, express themselves, and engage in the arts in a calm, supportive environment.

What Is the Mindful Community Arts Project?

The project will combine creative arts activities with principles of mindfulness, encouraging participants to be present in the moment while exploring different forms of artistic expression.

Activities may include drawing, painting, crafts, and other hands-on art forms, all delivered at a gentle pace.

Why It Matters

Creative activities have been shown to support mental wellbeing by reducing stress, improving mood, and helping people feel more connected to others. By bringing mindfulness and art together, this project aims to:

  • Support emotional wellbeing and resilience

  • Reduce feelings of isolation

  • Build confidence through creativity

  • Strengthen community connections

Looking Ahead

This funding allows Endeavour to reach more people and continue developing inclusive, meaningful projects that respond to local needs. We’re excited to get started and look forward to sharing our finished projects very soon.

We’d like to thank our funders for believing in this project and supporting our vision. Their investment will make a real difference, helping us use creativity as a tool for wellbeing and community connection.

Keep an eye on our website and social channels for updates—we can’t wait to show you our new mindful community arts project.

Staying active is important at every stage of life, and our weekly Let’s Get Moving seated exercise class is designed to make movement accessible, enjoyable, and confidence-boosting for everyone. Funded by PCP Happiness Hub, this class offers a friendly and supportive space where participants can improve mobility, strength, and wellbeing—all from a seated position. It’s ideal for anyone who prefers or needs a gentler approach to exercise, including those with limited mobility or who are returning to movement after a break.

Each session includes a series of simple, guided exercises that focus on:

  • Improving joint mobility and flexibility

  • Building strength and balance

  • Boosting circulation and energy levels

The exercises are easy to follow, adaptable to individual abilities, and led at a comfortable pace. Most importantly, the emphasis is on feeling good and moving safely, not pushing limits.

The Let’s Get Moving class is also a social experience. Participants enjoy chatting, sharing a laugh, and supporting one another, making it as good for mental wellbeing as it is for physical health. Many people tell us it’s a highlight of their week and something they genuinely look forward to.

Thanks to funding from PCP Happiness Hub, Endeavour is proud to offer this class as part of our commitment to improving happiness, health, and connection within the community. Their support helps us create welcoming opportunities for people to look after their wellbeing.

Why not Join Us?

If you’re looking for a safe, positive, and encouraging way to stay active, our weekly Let’s Get Moving seated exercise class could be just right for you. Come along each Monday, move at your own pace, and enjoy the benefits of gentle exercise in good company.

Here at Endeavour our fortnightly craft class is open to everyone and designed to bring people together through hands-on making, learning, and a bit of creative fun.

Whether you’re an experienced maker or someone who hasn’t picked up a paintbrush or pair of scissors in years, this class is for you. No prior skills are needed—just curiosity and a willingness to have a go.

Each session focuses on a different craft activity, from paper crafts and textiles to simple decorative projects you can take home and enjoy. All materials are provided, free refreshments are available throughout and friendly guidance is always at hand, so you can work at your own pace in a supportive, welcoming environment.

More than just a class, these sessions are a chance to unwind and meet new people. Many of our crafters say it’s the perfect way to switch off, learn something new, and reconnect with their creative side.
